01What does Lost Watches do?
Lost Watches is a direct buyer of luxury watches. We review your watch, make the purchase quote and manage the handover.
02Which watch brands do you buy?
Our current list is published on the Watch Brands We Buy page. Choose your watchmaker, then send the model details and photographs for a personal quote.
View every accepted brand and model03Do you buy every model from an accepted brand?
We buy a broad range of references from the listed watchmakers. Clear details and photographs help us identify your exact watch and prepare the right quote.
04Is an initial quote free?
Yes. Requesting a direct-purchase quote is free and does not oblige you to accept it.
05How is my watch reviewed?
We consider the exact reference, configuration, material, originality, condition, function, service history, completeness and current market demand.
Condition, box and papers
01Can I sell without the original box and papers?
Yes. We buy watches with or without their original box and papers. Include any available documents and accessories so we can quote the complete package accurately.
02Should I service or polish the watch first?
Usually request an as-is quote before spending money. Service costs may not be recovered, and polishing or replacement parts can reduce originality on some watches.
03What photographs should I send?
Include the dial, both case sides, caseback, bracelet or strap, clasp, visible reference details, condition issues and all accompanying accessories.
Quote, handover and payment
01Do you make direct-purchase offers?
Yes. Lost Watches buys watches directly and makes the purchase quote itself.
02How does the online quote work?
Your quote is based on the information and photographs you submit. If a material difference is found when the watch is received, we contact you before any change is made.
03What happens after I accept?
We confirm the handover, complete routine physical authentication and ownership checks, finalise the paperwork, then initiate payment.
04How quickly do I get paid?
Once routine checks and paperwork are complete, we initiate electronic payment promptly. Your bank controls when the funds appear in your account.
Security and privacy
01When should I send or bring in my watch?
Wait for the team to confirm the handover arrangement before anything is sent or brought in.
02Why might you request identification?
Identification and authority-to-sell information may be required for fraud prevention, ownership checks and applicable second-hand dealer records.
03How are my enquiry details handled?
Enquiries are stored securely and managed through Lost Cloud, our internal workflow system. Our privacy policy explains collection, use, sharing and retention.
04Should I provide my full serial number?
Do not publish it publicly. Sensitive serial information can be shared privately if required for identification or inspection.
